Digital Dentures
West Linn, OR

When you have suffered tooth loss, your entire life is affected. Biting and chewing become more difficult, which can impact your digestion and your overall health. Your speech suffers, causing a lisp or other communication issues. Your smile is significantly impacted, which can also lead to self-consciousness. Replacing your missing teeth is essential for replacing all of these functions and your quality of life. Dentures are the traditional treatment for replacing missing teeth. At ZenTech Dentistry we can provide you with better dentures, thanks to digital dentures.

What are Dentures?

Dentures are the traditional treatment used to replace missing teeth. They have been used for hundreds of years. When most people think of dentures, they tend to think about full or complete dentures. These are dentures that are meant to replace an entire arch of teeth. There are also partial dentures, which are used to replace a section of missing teeth. Both types of dentures are removable and are made to sit directly on your gums for support.

So, Then What are Digital Dentures?

Dentures have undergone numerous changes over the years. While they are still removable prosthetics consisting of replacement teeth set in a rigid base, the dentures provided today are vastly different than even dentures just a few decades ago. New technologies have allowed us to provide you with incredibly realistic restorations with improved functionality.

Today, we are proud to offer digital dentures. Digital dentures are dentures that are designed and made thanks to digital technology. The process for getting your digital dentures first requires an impression and bite registration. The information is scanned into the digital program and is sent to our dental lab. The lab uses the information to create a digital mockup and sends a 3D image back to us. We are able to make any necessary adjustments and give the go-ahead for creation. The lab uses the digital information to then bring your dentures to life. At your second appointment, you receive your dentures. No more dealing with multiple visits for fittings before you finally receive your finalized teeth. With digital dentures, you only need two appointments.

Benefits of Digital Dentures

There are many benefits that come with digital dentures. Benefits include:
•  Fewer office visits. Instead of several visits for multiple fittings, you receive your impressions at your first appointment and your finalized dentures at your second.
•  Shorter time from impressions to finalized dentures. Traditional dentures typically take close to 30 days to complete. With digital dentures, you can have your finalized dentures in as little as 6 days.
•  Everything is done digitally. This is a benefit for us as well as for you. By doing everything digitally, we can make adjustments with just the click of a button rather than having to do everything by hand. Everything is done utilizing CAE, or computer aided engineering, technology. Sending information back and forth is also much faster and easier.

With digital dentures, we can provide you with traditional dentures much more quickly than before, and be sure that the dentures fit your mouth properly to ensure optimal functionality. We also provide other services including fixed dentures, full mouth veneers and more. For more information, and to schedule your consultation, call ZenTech Dentistry at (503) 765-9699 today.
